Ngaji.ai helps you learn to read the Quran independently

Jakarta (MidLand) – The company pioneering the use of artificial intelligence technology in Indonesian language teaching, Vokal.ai, provides the ngaji.ai application to help users learn to read the Quran independently.

“AI technology developed by Vokal.ai makes this application capable of detecting the pronunciation accuracy of Quran readings through technology automatic voice recognition (ASR) so that the process of learning to recite the Quran can be done independently,” one of the founders of ngaji.ai, Prof. Dr. Sutarto Hadi, said in a press release on Wednesday.

“This application also responds to the challenge of a more flexible and limitless Quran learning process, so that anyone can learn the Quran anywhere, anytime and at any age, so there is no more excuse for not learning the Quran,” he said.

FKIP professor, Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarmasin, said that artificial intelligence technology (Artificial intelligence/AI) and ASR allow the application to help users discover whether the spoken reading of the Quran is correct.

The scoring system is applied in learning using ngaji.ai. Users will receive grades when they complete the study material and complete the exercises. Users can also track their learning progress based on their total score.

The ngaji.ai application has many features, including a location-based prayer scheduling feature, prayer notification and breaking fasting times, and Qibla direction.

There is also a feature to detect the user’s fluency in reciting the Quran and a daily verse recommendation feature for in-depth learning of the Quran during Ramadan.

Vokal.ai founder Martijn Enter said that AI can personalize the learning experience based on each student’s needs and learning style, resulting in deeper understanding and better interaction.

“The ngaji.ai application can adjust the difficulty level and learning speed based on the user’s performance, thus ensuring progress in understanding and preventing users from losing motivation to learn,” he said.

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said that artificial intelligence could have a positive impact if used appropriately, as is done in the ngaji.ai application.

“The various technologies developed and features provided make ngaji.ai capable of ensuring a good Quran learning process with measurable results, such as learning to recite the Quran directly with a teacher,” Sandiaga said.
