Neuralink will reportedly provide a second brain implant

Jakarta (MidLand) – Elon Musk’s neurotechnology company Neuralink will reportedly carry out a brain implant procedure on a second patient.

According to reports The Wall Street Journal quoted by Dedicate onself On Tuesday, the company received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to perform a second brain implant procedure after performing the procedure on the first patient, Noland Arbaugh.

Elon Musk said last week that his company was opening registration for a second potential clinical trial participant.

Neuralink recruited potential participants for its first clinical trial last year with the goal of bringing the technology to help people with nervous system diseases, spinal cord injuries or other conditions that cause paralysis.

Neuralink also reportedly found a fix to the problem that caused Arbaugh’s brain implant to malfunction a month after surgery.

The company said the interference occurred because the implant wire was pulled from the brain.
