National Police provide security at the opening of the World Water Forum in Bali

Badung, Bali (MidLand) –

Bali Regional Police Chief Inspector General Ida Bagus Kade Putra Narendra provided security at the opening of the 10th meeting of the World Water Forum which opens on Monday (20/5).

In his statement on Sunday in Badung, Bali, Kade Narendra said that for security reasons the opening of the 10th meeting of the World Water Forum has been divided into three rings.

Security ring 1 is carried out by the Paspampres, ring 2 is carried out by the TNI for regional security and ring 3 is carried out by the Police which concerns objects and supplies, routes and parking lots.

“We tried the National Police and checked with the leadership about the existing task forces. A total of 8 task forces to support this activity,” he said.

He said the people, especially those in Bali, were very supportive of holding the World Water Forum. In fact, she said, the community helped protect their respective areas by creating a social safety net.

“The public socializes with us stakeholders also by the TNI and the Bali provincial government. “They are actually happy, because security like Pecalang also helps us and is under our coordination,” she said.

In securing the 10th World Water Forum, the National Police collaborated with all stakeholders such as TNI, BSSN, BIN, BNPB and the Bali Provincial Government.

A total of 5,791 people have been trained to ensure safety for the international event which will be held from 18 to 25 May 2024.
