MPR Vice President: PPHN is a solution for national development
Jakarta (MidLand) – Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) Vice President Amir Uskara said that the Principles of State Policy (PPHN) initiated by the MPR could be a solution for national development planning.
“After I was appointed vice president of MPR a few days ago, I didn’t really understand MPR, so I discussed it with other friends of MPR leadership. From the president of MPR I learned about this PPHN. I thought it was extraordinary, it could be a solution to all the nation’s problems, this is the future,” Amir said on Friday at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta.
It also supports the PPHN because all national development planning, starting from economic, political, democratic, cultural and other developments, can be carried out in a targeted and sustainable manner.

Amir continued that if the PPHN is realized, the direction of national development will no longer be tailored to the vision and mission of the president-elect, but will be guided by and referenced by the PPHN and continue to reach out to the regions.
“This is what I like about the PPHN, whoever is the leader will refer to the PPHN so that perfect harmony is created from the center to the regions. If we still refer to the vision and mission of the president-elect then in five years the leadership of the Lo national development will continue to change and, in my opinion, this will actually waste the country’s budget because many programs will not be started due to changes in leadership,” he explained.

According to him, the PPHN, through planning for the development of democracy, politics and state administration in Indonesia, can also be a reference for the direction this nation and country will go in the future.
He gave the example that the PPHN will be formulated regarding the continuity of the electoral system, regardless of whether direct elections continue or not.
“This is just one example. There are many other things in planning Indonesia’s political and democratic development and state administration, which can be formulated in the PPHN,” he stressed.
