MPR President Encourages Improving Business Climate in Indonesia

Jakarta (MidLand) – Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly President Bambang Soesatyo has encouraged improving the business climate in Indonesia to boost the national economy.

“Hard work is needed from all parties, including Ardindo, to create optimism among national economic actors and jointly revive the national economy,” he said in Jakarta on Monday.

Bamsoet conveyed this invitation when he received a visit from the management of the Association of Indonesian Partners for Goods Procurement and Distribution (Ardindo).

According to him, one effort is to continue to empower cooperatives and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which are one of the backbones of the Indonesian economy.

Bamsoet, who is also Ardindo’s general president, said his party will hold a national conference (Munas) on September 20, 2024 in Jakarta. One of the agendas of the third Ardindo National Conference is the election of a general president and the creation of a work program for the next five years.

“I myself will not run for president again because I led Ardindo for two terms. There are still many Ardindo cadres who have the skills and experience to lead Ardindo for the next five years,” Bamsoet said.

He explained that the Ardindo National Conference was an impetus to review the various steps and policies adopted by Ardindo. Next, develop future steps in the form of Ardindo’s work program and open various accesses to capture the growing aspirations to take Ardindo forward.

“Ardindo must be able to build a business climate that can encourage the birth of new innovations. This innovation is necessary so that, in the face of global competition, the Indonesian business world is able to offer new alternatives and better discoveries in various aspects, ” he said.
