Ministry of Communication and Information: Pancasila strengthens unity towards a golden Indonesia in 2045

Jakarta (MidLand) – The Ministry of Communication and Information considers Pancasila an important base for strengthening national unity towards a golden Indonesia in 2045.

“Pancasila is what unites us who are different, there is the principle of Indonesian unity. In relation to Golden Indonesia 2045, we cannot achieve this goal if we are not united,” said the director general of information and public communication at the Ministry of Communication. and information, Usman Kansong, when contacted by MidLand, Saturday.

He said that Pancasila, as a unifier of the nation, has a vital role in realizing the Golden Indonesia of 2045. Unity and integrity are considered an absolute requirement to achieve this great goal, considering the differences and diversity that exist in Indonesia .

In the midst of the rapid digital age, which is increasingly borderless in the exchange of culture and information, presents its own challenges in efforts to maintain national unity and sovereignty.

In this context, Usman said the biggest challenge is how to maintain digital sovereignty in these borderless conditions.

He is of the opinion that digital literacy is the main solution to address this challenge. Through the digital culture pillar, the government seeks to maintain national cultural values, including Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, the Republic of Indonesia, as well as local wisdom and religious values.

“So how can we still achieve digital sovereignty while remaining guided by our cultural values, and achieving this through digital literacy,” Usman said.

Besides that, he said, the Personal Data Protection Law and the Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE) Law are also important tools to protect digital sovereignty from negative content that can divide national unity.

Usman also called on the public to implement the values ​​of Pancasila in their daily lives. Implementing the values ​​of Pancasila is not enough just to memorize the precepts, but must also be realized in real action as an ideology and lifestyle.

“If we realize that Pancasila is also a lifestyle, like an ideology, then we will implement the values ​​of Pancasila in everyday life. I think this is the most important thing,” he concluded.

Pancasila’s birthday in 2024 carries the theme “Pancasila is the soul of the nation’s unification towards a golden Indonesia 2045”. Meanwhile, the main logo of Harlah Pancasila in 2024 is “Sandya Taru” or Tree of Unity which reflects unity, the spirit of mutual cooperation and equality.
