Lewandowski’s hat-trick leads Barcelona to a 4-2 victory over Valencia
Jakarta (MidLand) – Robert Lewandowski’s hat-trick gave Barcelona a 4-2 victory over 10 Valencia players at the Estadio Olimpic Lluis Companys, Tuesday morning WIB.
Fermin Lopez first gave the Blaugrana the lead. Valencia then took the lead thanks to Hugo Duro’s goal and Pepelu’s penalty before Lewandowski’s three-point hat-trick for the home team.
According to the official website of the Spanish League, the match started immediately with great intensity. Barcelona took the initiative to attack, but Valencia still managed to keep up with the home team’s play.
Only in the 22nd minute did Barcelona break the deadlock. Starting from Cancelo’s movement on the left, the ball was given to Raphinha who then sent in a cross.
Fermin managed to escape the opposing guard before heading in front of the goal to score. Barcelona-Valencia 1-0.
Barcelona’s lead lasted just five minutes after Valencia equalised. Goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen made a fatal mistake when receiving a back pass.
The German goalkeeper tried to outsmart Hugo Duro, but failed and the ball was stolen before Hugo Duro put it into an empty net. The position became 1-1.
In the 38th minute Valencia took the lead with a penalty. The referee pointed to the spot after Ronaldo Araujo brought down Peter Gonzales in the restricted area.
Pepelu stepped up as executor and beat Ter Stegen to make the score 2-1 in favor of Valencia.
Valencia had to play with 10 men at minute 45+3. Their goalkeeper, Mamardashvili, was directly sent off for carrying out a handball outside the penalty area in an attempt to stop Lamine Yamal’s movement.
Valencia were forced to withdraw Hugo Almeida and bring in reserve goalkeeper Jaume Domenech.
Subsequently, Barcelona took advantage of the numerical superiority of the players and continued to attack Valencia’s defense.
In the 49th minute Barcelona equalised. Starting from a corner, Lewandowski headed hard to the near post. Barcelona-Valencia 2-2.
Valencia continued to fight back, but the numerical inferiority made it difficult for them to keep up with Barça’s play.
In the 82nd minute Barça scored the third goal. Starting from a corner, chaos erupted in the Valencia penalty area. The ball is then deflected off Araujo’s head and towards Lewandowski who was ready to head the ball home. Objective! Barcelona-Valencia 3-2.
At 90+3 Lewandowski completes a hat-trick. The free kick was quite far from the penalty area, Lewy fired a shot to the near post. Objective! Barcelona-Valencia 4-2.
Barcelona scored their third goal in the 82nd minute. Starting from a corner, chaos erupted in the Valencia penalty area. The ball was then deflected off Araujo’s head, leading to Lewandowski scoring with a header. Barcelona-Valencia 3-2.
Lewandowski successfully scored a hat-trick in the 90+3 minute. The Polish striker scored a goal with a curling free kick in front of the penalty area.
Lewandowski has now recorded 16 goals for Barcelona in the 2023/24 LaLiga season.
This goal also ended the match. Barcelona have the right to secure three points with a 4-2 win over Valencia.
