Launch of the US Army’s X-37B spacecraft delayed, Musk: there is a problem on the ground

In a message published on the social platform SpaceX did not elaborate.

The company did not immediately say when it will try again. The mission’s next launch opportunity is Tuesday evening, SpaceX said.

Initial plans to send the spacecraft into orbit Sunday evening were canceled due to poor weather conditions at the Cape.

The delay occurred during the X-37B’s seventh mission and its first launch aboard the Falcon Heavy, which consists of three reusable rocket cores tied together and is capable of lifting the vehicle into orbit much higher that never.

About the size of a small bus and resembling a miniature space shuttle, the X-37B was built to deploy various payloads and conduct technology experiments on long-duration orbital flights.

The X-37B has flown six previous missions since 2010, its last flight coming more than two years before the vehicle landed again in November 2022.
