Kompolnas follows up on TPDI complaints regarding Sirekap procurements

Jakarta (MidLand) –

The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) is following up on a complaint from the Indonesian Democracy Defense Team (TPDI) regarding the dismissal of a criminal complaint regarding the takeover of the Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap) application by Bareskrim Polri.

“Incidentally, I was the one who received the arrival of the TPDI who complained about Bareskrim Polri’s rejection of their report,” Kompolnas member Poengky Indarti confirmed in Jakarta on Thursday.

After receiving the TPDI’s complaint, Poengky said, he submitted the complaint to Kompolnas daily president Benny Jozua Mamoto and other commissioners.

“We will follow up on this TPDI complaint by clarifying it to Irwasum as the internal supervisor of the National Police,” he said.

Poengky said this complaint was clarified with Irwasum, the party that always coordinates with Kompolnas as the external supervisor of the National Police.

As for the TPDI complaint, according to Poengky, the report rejected by Bareskrim needs to be cross-checked by listening to Bareskrim’s statement via Irwasum.

“We just received a unilateral complaint from TPDI. By getting information from two sources, we can analyze the problem,” Poengky said.

On Wednesday (20/3) TPDI came to file a complaint with Bareskrim Polri at Kompolnas regarding the refusal of the report of an alleged criminal act in procuring the Sirekap application.

TPDI coordinator Petrus Selestinus said his party submitted a report to Bareskrim Polri on alleged criminal acts of corruption in the Sirekap procurement on March 1 and 4, 2024, but it was rejected.

According to him, we consider the dismissal carried out by Bareskrim Polri against supporters of TPDI and Perekat Nusantara as a violation of the rights and duties of the community to provide information to the police about alleged crimes that have occurred or will occur.

“Related to the Sirekap, the existence of which was revealed by the public and cyber experts from February 14, 2024 to the present,” Petrus explained.

The TPDI, Petrus explained, also asked Kompolnas to summon the head of criminal investigations for a meeting with his party.

TPDI reported the chairman and commissioners of the General Election Commission (KPU) in Bareskrim Polri for alleged violations in the 2024 general elections (Pemilu), 1 and 4 March 2024, but the report was rejected because there was no evidence sufficient and was declared to be the domain of the KPU and Bawaslu.
