“Today, in accordance with the request and decision of the friends of DPD PSI Solo, I as the general chairman have recommended Kanjeng Gusti Bhre as a potential candidate for mayor of Surakarta for the period 2024-2029,” Kaesang said in Solo, Central Java, Sunday.

He said the recommendations were made based on the input of PSI members and PSI constituents in Solo City.

However, he considers Gusti Bhre a young figure who shines in the city of Solo. Therefore, the Duke of Mangkunegaran deserves to be supported.

“I think Gusti Bhre is one of the bright young people in Solo city and he is capable of leading Mangkunegaran. He is also one of the commissioners of KAI, friends will be able to find out his progress in work in the future,” He said.

As for the vice president of Gusti Bhre in the upcoming regional elections, he handed over the task to the members and voters of PSI of Solo City.

“Once again, we are giving this recommendation based on the aspirations of PSI Solo City. We will hand over the representative to Mas Bhre,” he said.

Asked about the coalition that will be formed by the PSI to support Gusti Bhre, he asked all parties to be patient. “Yes, be patient, go slowly. There is no need rush (rush, red),” he said.

On the same occasion Gusti Bhre expressed his gratitude for the support given to him by the PSI.

“Of course I would like to thank Mas Kaesang as the general president of PSI. Thank you for your trust and support,” he said.

He also thanked the community for supporting him.

“Thanks to the community, I see it from afar, they have given me their support,” he added.

However, as to whether or not it will advance to the regional elections, it will still look at future dynamics.

“Whether it goes ahead or not, the permission to see first what the future will be like, what the community response will be in the future. In my opinion, it’s basically the best, according to what the people of Solo City want,” he said.
