Jordan Indra again won the national junior golf championship and set a record
Jakarta (MidLand) – Men’s golf athlete Jordan Indra Marcello won another championship title in the 2024 Indonesian National Junior Golf Championship (Kejurnas) held at Jababeka Golf & Country Club, West Java.
“Jordan won convincingly with a total score of 203 strokes or 13 under par“, the head of Championships and Results of the Executive Committee of the Indonesian Golf Association (PB PGI), who is also the CEO of the 2024 National Junior Golf Championship, Adi Saksono, said on Wednesday when it was confirmed by MidLand in Jakarta.
Jordan won the championship title for the second time after winning the 2023 Indonesian National Junior Golf Championship at Gading Raya Golf.
Besides emerging as a champion, the golf athlete coached by Central Java Provincial Directorate PGI also broke the Jababeka Golf & Country course record after playing eight under par the first day.
Jordan showed superiority on the first day of the national championship which took place from 4 to 7 February, collecting six little bird is one eagle for 18 hole.
Adi said Jordan’s impressive performances demonstrate that more and more top-level junior golf athletes are emerging in the country.
He appreciated the athlete who won the title and all the athletes who took part in the tournament for showing their best performances.
“All the athletes performed much better with very few fouls committed on the field,” he said.

Adi added that the championship was an impetus for PB PGI to select the best young golfers to join the national team.
91 athletes from 16 provinces participated in the championship, selected from 133 candidates.
“So this national championship involves athletes who are selected based on results or points so that they will then refer to the statistical data they have to determine whether they are worthy of joining the national team or not,” he said.
