Jokowi asked AHY to complete 2,086 hectares of problem land in IKN

Jakarta (MidLand) – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has asked the Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono or AHY, to immediately complete the 2,086 hectares of land that are still problematic for the development of the Indonesian capital (IKN).

In a limited meeting at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, AHY admitted that President Jokowi has ordered him to handle land issues with a good approach and that no community should suffer losses or even become victims of IKN development.

“This is where we want to accelerate but we can’t grusa grusa (reckless). “We want all stages to be carried out well, with a humanist approach, so that, God willing, there are no problems in the future,” AHY told reporters.

AHY explained that there are a number of land parcels whose status needs to be resolved immediately, either by implementing social impact programs or by providing compensation to the people living in these places.

Among the priority areas is the Sepaku flood control zone, which covers an area of about 2.75 hectares or about 22 parcels of land.

In addition to this, the acquisition of the area that will be built as highway section (toll road) 6A and 6B, covering an area of 44.6 hectares or approximately 48 lots, must also be acquired quickly.

However, despite these obstacles, AHY has ensured that the development of the IKN continues to move forward.

He also said that the Ministry of ATR/BPN is ready to provide full support to the IKN Authority to take care of land preparation and spatial planning.

“What is clear to us is that the principle must be clear clean and clear “(Obviously) the existing land first, then we will issue a right-of-use certificate to use it as fully as possible to provide support for existing projects at the IKN,” he said.

For your information, land compensation payments in the IKN area included in the National Strategic Project are made by the State Asset Management Institute (LMSN).

The ATR/BPN Ministry noted that nine detailed land use planning plans (RDTRs) of the IKN had been completed, then there were also 21 land acquisition packages of the IKN, of which 10 packages had been completed.

Meanwhile, the progress of the remaining 11 packages has reached 80%, and only 20% remains that need to be properly monitored.
