Joint officers protect illegal CCTV and antennas in Gatot Subroto
Jakarta (MidLand) – Joint officials have secured surveillance cameras (CCTV) and illegal antennas on Gatot Subroto flyover, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta, in anticipation of accidents among road users.
“We regularly implement security measures, including initiatives at the sub-district level,” Rahmat Efendi Lubis, head of the South Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol), told the Daily Executive (Plh) when contacted in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Rahmat said that various actions have been taken, ranging from illegal parking to securing roads in accordance with the requirements of the Social Security Services (PPKS).
Mampang Prapatan sub-district chief Ujang Hermawan said the safety exercise was carried out to prevent accidents for road users.
“Instead of falling, the experience at the ‘flyover’ was that during the elections there were party bamboo flags, so we were safe,” Ujang said.
Ujang said the activity was carried out suddenly because the information came from reports of residents who were concerned about the location of the two tilted objects at the location.

In this security, his party involved the police, the TNI, the highways, the subdistricts and the subdistricts. “We asked a team from Bina Marga who understands the problems of public services, but it turned out that there was no permit,” he said.
He said that if the owner of the illegal CCTV and antenna wants to take it back, there is a process to follow, such as a court hearing and sanctions by PP Satpol.
Owners of illegal cameras and antennas can be sanctioned by Regional Regulation No. 8 of 2007 on Public Order. It is hoped that this regulation will have a deterrent effect on residents to be active in processing permits and in compliance with regional regulations.
“I remind you not to harm road users, that’s the point,” he stressed.
