Indonesia’s 5G cellphone shipments will grow 77% in the first quarter of 2024

Jakarta (MidLand) – Global research firm Counterpoint, through its latest report “Counterpoint’s Monthly Indonesia Smartphone Tracker”, revealed that 5G mobile phone shipments in Indonesia grew by 77% in the first quarter of 2024 year-on-year. Year after year (Cancel).

Abdillah commented on the growth of the smartphone industry in Indonesia and said that middle-class cellphones will continue to grow.

“We see this segment continuing to grow, reflecting the improving macroeconomy in this country. Additionally, these brands need to release smartphones equipped with new technologies that include features such as artificial intelligence (Artificial intelligence/AI) and a new camera system,” he concluded.
