Indonesia is set to host the 10th World Water Forum in May 2024

Jakarta (MidLand) – The 10th international event of the World Water Forum on Water Share for Prosperity will be held from 18 to 25 May 2024 in Bali, Indonesia, involving 172 countries to discuss the problems and potential of water resources for the world .

“Indonesia hosts the 10th World Water Forum to provide insights and solutions to water problems around the world,” said Indonesian Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi while attending the music concert: Let’s Ngabuburit ahead of the 10th World Water Forum in Sarinah, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday.

The 10th World Water Forum is the world’s largest international meeting held every three years since 1997 to discuss water policy around the world. This forum was last held in 2022 in Senegal, West Africa.

“Indonesia has been chosen as the host of the 10th World Water Forum, which is the largest water forum in the world, and Indonesia has been listed as the first Southeast Asian country to be selected to host it” , said the Director of Economic and Maritime Information and Communications. , Directorate General of Information and Public Communication, Ministry of Communication and Information, Septriana, Tangkary.

“This event is a good opportunity to discuss and exchange knowledge with stakeholders from various countries in finding solutions in the field of water resources,” he added.

The 10th World Water Forum will consist of three main processes: Political, Regional/Regional and Thematic.

These three processes will coordinate various action-oriented efforts or real solutions across priority political and regional agendas, as well as identified key themes, to achieve the goal of water as a means of shared prosperity.

In welcoming the 10th World Water Forum, the Ministry of Communication and Information will carry out a series of activities and community awareness. These include press conferences, character speeches, musical concerts, media visits, as well as updates on this event via social media.

“The Ministry of Communications and Information will also carry out promotions on outdoor media, such as billboards, videotrons and buses,” Septriani said.

Simultaneously with the musical concert welcoming the 10th World Water Forum, the Ministry of Communication and Information also announced that actress Cinta Laura has been chosen as the Communications Ambassador or ambassador of the 10th World Water Forum.

Through Cinta Laura it is hoped that people will care more about the environment, especially the problems of the water sector.

“I am very grateful and honored for this 10th World Water Forum, and this forum is really needed for people to understand that there are many simple steps to mitigate this problem,” Cinta said.
