Hundreds of Korans for the Istiqlal Mosque to build noble morality
Jakarta (MidLand) – Hundreds of copies of the Quran were donated to the Istiqlal Mosque by the Sinar Mas Muslim Foundation and the APP Group as a form of support for the development of noble morals.
“The existence of the Istiqlal Mosque as a center for the formation of noble morals in Muslims has led us to donate the manuscripts of the Quran again to empower the community by providing opportunities to read, interpret and then put into practice its contents in everyone’s lives days,” said Sinar Mas Muslim Foundation (YMSM) General President Saleh Husin.
In his statement received on Friday in Jakarta, he hoped that this gift would allow the congregation to carry out the tadarus, especially at the end of the month of Ramadan.

The waqf was symbolically handed over to the Grand Imam of Istiqlal Mosque, KH Nasaruddin Umar, on Wednesday (4/3).
“This activity is our fourth opportunity to donate a copy of the Quran to the Istiqlal Mosque,” he said.
On that occasion, Saleh and YMSM Vice President Yan Partawijaya accompanied Amaliyah Ramadan Istiqlal Mosque CEO Ismail Cawidu in delivering Mushaf to orphaned children from numerous orphanages.
According to him, YMSM is here to embrace open, tolerant, equal and loving Islamic practices within all corporate pillars of Sinar Mas, in order to increase piety and work productivity. As regards external subjects, he explained, the foundation encourages friendship and synergy with religious personalities and institutions, through various social and educational activities.
APP Group Deputy Director Irsyal Yasman said that from 2008 to date, as many as 1.3 million Mushaf have been distributed through the Quran Waqf program, both through partners and corporate pillars of Sinar Mas, for religious institutions, educational entities, communities and even TNI. -Police in several cities, including some outermost areas of the archipelago.
