Jakarta (MidLand) – Google developer groups successfully held a training activity entitled “Build with AI” in which hundreds of application developers in the study of artificial intelligence (AI) participated.
Manikantan Krishnamurthy, head of Google’s developer ecosystem in the APAC region, said the presence of “Build with AI” in Jakarta was Google’s way of educating tech developers about Google’s technology and technologies. open source last.
Presented through the Google Developers Groups, it is hoped that application developers can improve their skills and create local innovation.

“There are already 13 Google developer groups spread across 10 cities in Indonesia and more than 30,000 developer participate in their activities every year,” Mani said.
In the “Build with AI” workshop session, application developers received training on building-based applications Machine learning based on the Gemini API and other Google technologies, such as Vertex AI and Open Source model.
Several interesting things have been done starting from using Gemini Python, learning about Gemini’s multimodal capabilities, and building Gemini-backed serverless applications in a scalable way.

To use Gemini Python, developers are encouraged to use the Python SDK for Gemini API, they can access advanced templates that help set up development environments, access the API, and use Gemini for various purposes such as generating text responses from simple text input to using multimodal input that combines text and images.
Meanwhile, by introducing multimodal capabilities with Gemini, developers recognized Gemini 1.0 Pro Vision as a platform with capabilities that went beyond text-based LLMs.
This capability opens up new potential for detecting various objects based on images and photos. Different things that can be done include understanding the interface, interpreting images and abstractions, analyzing graphs and diagrams, recommending images based on user preferences, and comparing images to find similarities, anomalies, or differences.

Finally, for the task of building scalable Gemini-backed serverless applications, application developers are encouraged to be able to build scalable Gemini-backed Flask applications from scratch by integrating Vertex AI’s Gemini API.
This seamless integration allows for easy deployment on Cloud Run, making application deployment simulations even easier Generative AI to production.
