Huawei Cares for Ramadhan strengthens Indonesian students’ digital literacy

Jakarta (MidLand) – Huawei, an information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure provider, is organizing the Huawei Cares – Ramadhan 1445 H: Sharing Happiness and Connectivity for Advanced Indonesia activities by distributing ICT equipment to a number of colleges and Islamic orphanages to strengthen digital technology proficiency of students of Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia.

“Huawei hopes to contribute more to the equitable distribution of education and the development of digital talents, which will bring broad benefits to all Indonesian young generations in preparing for a brighter future towards a Golden Indonesia 2045,” he said Mohamad Rosidi, Huawei Indonesia director of ICT strategy and business. , quoted from his press release Thursday.

Huawei Cares Ramadhan represents the implementation of Huawei’s I Do Care and I Do Contribute commitments by providing telecommunications support equipment and teaching and learning activities to numerous orphanages and Islamic boarding schools in 12 cities in Indonesia.

It is hoped that supporting Huawei’s ICT solutions can improve the quality of teaching and learning activities in an inclusive and sustainable Islamic educational environment.

Apart from this, this activity is also expected to spark their entrepreneurial interest to open up new business and job opportunities in their respective environments.

“Given the increasingly complex and dynamic challenges ahead, we strongly support Huawei’s initiative to encourage students to master religious knowledge and the language of the Quran, as well as digital sciences and programming languages,” said the Director General of Higher Education, Research and Programming. During Huawei Cares Ramadhan, this time, Huawei also held a Women in Tech panel discussion on the topic of Women’s Empowerment in the Digital Age for Advanced Indonesia. This discussion aims to promote digital interest and awareness among female students and Islamic colleges in utilizing advancements in ICT solutions.
