How to take screenshots on a Samsung phone, without physical buttons

Jakarta (MidLand) – For Samsung mobile phone users, there are various ways to take screenshots, including using physical buttons or no buttons at all.

Samsung provides a screenshot function that is useful for documenting information or images that appear on the screen to use for reference or to capture the moment. Here are several ways to take screenshots on Samsung mobiles:

Samsung cell phone screenshots can be done by combining the physical, Volume Down and Power buttons as follows:

  • Select the screen you want to screenshot
  • Then, press the Volume Down button and the Power button at the same time
  • If the screen flashes or you hear a click, the image was successfully captured
  • To see the screenshot results, you can open the photo gallery directly.

Palm swipe screenshot

Screenshots on Samsung phones can be done without using physical buttons with the Palm Swipe to Capture feature. This feature offers a way to take screenshots of Samsung phones with a simple swipe of the palm, here’s how:

  • Open Settings on your Samsung phone​​​​​​​
  • Select the Advanced Features​​​​​​ option
  • Find and select the Motions & Gestures menu
  • Enable the “Palm Swipe to Capture” option, make sure the button lights up blue to indicate the feature is active
  • Once the function is activated, select the screen you want to take a screenshot of
  • Use straight palm swipes like a knife to sweep the screen from right to left or vice versa
  • When the screen flashes and you hear the shutter sound, the screenshot was taken successfully
  • The screenshot results can be viewed in the Photo Gallery application​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

You can take screenshots on a Samsung mobile phone by activating the Assistant Menu, here’s how:

  • Open Settings on your Samsung phone​​​​​​​
  • Select the “Accessibility” menu.
  • Go to the Interaction and Dexterity section
  • Activate the option by sliding the Assistant menu to the active mode
  • A small square icon will then appear which can be used for screenshots
  • You just need to click on the Assistant menu icon and select the screenshot option​​​​​
  • The screenshot is captured successfully after the screen flashes and the shutter sound is heard
  • You can see the screenshot results in the Photo Gallery application on your Samsung mobile phone.

Screenshots on Samsung cell phones can be done using the voice of the cell phone owner himself with the help of Bixby Voice or Google Assistant, here’s how:

  • Select the screen you want to screenshot​​​​​​​
  • Activate Bixby Voice by saying “Hey Bixby”
  • Then say “Take a screenshot”
  • You can also activate Google Assistant by saying “OK Google” and saying “Take a screenshot”
  • After the screen flashes and you hear the shutter sound, the screenshot has been captured successfully
  • The screenshot results can be viewed in the Photo Gallery application.
