Jakarta (MidLand) – PT PLN (Persero) provides power reduction services. This power reduction could be one of the considerations chosen by PLN users to reduce the cost of monthly electricity bills so that they do not increase.
Nowadays, when reducing electricity, it is no longer necessary to go directly to the PLN office. To reduce electricity, you can do it online using the PLN Mobile application.
Here are the steps you need to follow:
- First you need to download the PLN Mobile application
- After that, create an account by entering the required personal details like phone number and email. After registration, wait for the OTP code to be sent to you and enter the code to verify your account.
- Then complete your personal details in the account update menu
- Select the menu “Changing Power and Migration“
- Next you will see a visualization of the power switching process steps, select “Start”.
- Select the customer ID registered in the PLN Mobile application or enter another meter number, then select “Continue”.
- Complete the location information according to the actual situation, and then select “Continue”.
- Next, select the new power you need, the connection type (Prepaid/Postpaid) and the electricity designation, then select “Continue”.
- Enter Customer ID: You will be asked to enter your Customer ID or Electric Meter Number.
- Then, you will be directed to a page that shows the Terms and Conditions, click I Agree
- After that the customer will be directed to a summary page, then click on “send request”
- After receiving the “Application Successful” notification, select “OK”, then the “Application Details” screen will appear.
- After the application details are displayed, the next step is to check the power reduction fee you need to pay.
- Next, you will see the Payment Method screen. You can select a payment method by selecting “Change Payment Method”. There are several payment options to choose from, such as digital wallets or bank transfers via virtual accounts. Select one of the available payment methods before selecting “Pay”.
If your request is approved by PLN, an official will contact you to determine the power reduction schedule.
These are the steps to reduce electricity, make sure you follow all the steps correctly and save the proof of payment to ensure the process runs smoothly.
