MidLand, Jakarta – In view of new student admissions in 2024, Defense University The Republic of Indonesia (Unhan RI) is one of the universities targeted by potential new students.
It is not surprising that many people want to know how to get into IDU, considering that the selection process is independent because it does not coincide with the National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB).
Opened in 2009, the IDU offers opportunities for students graduating from the SMA/SMK or equivalent to deepen their defense knowledge.
IDU also offers free tuition from D-IV to S1 programs with mandatory dorm requirements.

Requirements for admission to the degree course
General requirements for prospective students First The 2024 undergraduate program (S-1) is as follows:
- Are Indonesian Citizens (WNI) OR Foreign Nationals (WNA), both male and female.
- Willing to abide by all rules established by Unhan RI.
- Physically and mentally healthy and not color blind.
- Have a high school diploma/equivalent with major in science or equivalent vocational school, graduate in 2023 or 2024 based on the operational curriculum. For applicants to the Military History graduate program of study with a high school diploma/equivalent major in natural sciences or social sciences, graduating in 2023 or 2024.
- I never missed a class while in high school/vocational school/equivalent.
- Priority will be given to students who enter the top 10 in the fifth semester.
- Provisions relating to the grades of the superior/equivalent report cards, i.e. from the 1st to the 4th semester, an average of 80 and a minimum score of 90 for the subjects that satisfy the Special Requirements for the Study Courses of the Faculty of Medicine or Human Sciences Health, of the Military Faculty of Pharmacy, FMIPA Military Faculty and Faculty of Defense Sciences and Technologies (FSTP).
- Specifically for the Undergraduate Military History Curriculum for semesters 1 to 4, the average score is 80 and a score of 90 for subjects according to the special requirements for the Undergraduate Military History Curriculum.
- Provisions for vocational school report cards/equivalents, subjects from semester 1 to 4 according to the operational study program average 80 according to the Center for Excellence vocational school curriculum structure.
- Attach the results of an intelligence quotient (IQ) test of at least 120 (if you already have one).
- For undergraduate and professional programs, the maximum age is 20 years old as of September 20, 2024 or at the time of enrollment.
- Minimum height 163 for men and women minimum 157 cm with proportionate build.
- Able to use a computer (Microsoft Word and Internet applications).
- Willing to sign letter of agreement as a student cadet of Indonesian Defense University
- Willing to sign a letter of declaration, i.e. a letter of willingness to become an intellectual cadre of the State Defense and a letter of declaration of being able to comply with all applicable regulations as a student cadet at the Indonesian Defense University.
- Attach a letter of approval from your parents or guardians to attend education at IDU.
- Willing to live in a dormitory during education.
- Equalization of diplomas and grades of the Directorate General of Higher Education for high school graduates/equivalents from abroad or for graduates of national international schools.
- Not married and not pregnant during studies.
- I am not currently receiving a grant from another agency.
- If you have completed your S1 training, be prepared to sign a service bond when you meet the requirements to become a member of the TNI.
In addition to the general requirements, there are also several special requirements for different study programs, including
- Minimum report card score of 90 in Semester V biology and mathematics subjects for the medical curriculum.
- Minimum report card score of 90 for the 5th semester in Chemistry and Mathematics subjects for the Pharmacy Course of Studies.
- Minimum report card score of 90 for the fifth semester in Mathematics for the Mathematics Program of Study.
- Minimum report card score of 90 for the fifth semester in Chemistry and Mathematics subjects for the Chemistry Course of Study.
- Minimum report card score of 90 for semester V in Physics and Mathematics subjects for the Physics Program of Studies.
- Minimum report card score of 90 for Semester V in biology and mathematics subjects for the biology curriculum.
- Minimum report card score of 90 for the fifth semester in the Physics and Mathematics subjects of the Computer Science degree course.
- Minimum report card score of 90 for the fifth semester in Physics and Mathematics subjects for the Electrical Engineering Study Course.
- Minimum report card score of 90 for the fifth semester in Physics and Mathematics subjects for the Mechanical Engineering Study Course.
- Minimum report card score of 90 for the fifth semester in the Physics and Mathematics subjects of the Civil Engineering Study Course.
- Minimum report card score of 90 for semester V in Physics, Biology and Mathematics subjects for the Hydrology Study Program.
- Minimum report card score of 90 for the fifth semester in History, Geography and Sociology subjects for the Military History study program.
Defense University enrollment procedure

See the Defense University registration process below. Participants register online as follows:
- Create an account and confirm via registered email as your username
- Fill in the required details such as KTP, KK, health insurance, 4×6 photograph without glasses and wearing school uniform, parental permission letter, diploma or SKL, IQ test results and NPWP (for those who have ).
- Must take part in the entire selection series as per the specified schedule
- The selection for admission to Unhas includes administrative selection, English language proficiency test (minimum TOEFL equivalent of 500), psychological examination, mental ideology, Test of Scholastic Potential (TPS) (minimum score 500), the health and mental health exam, the academic interview, and the physical fitness (Physical Fitness B, in addition to swimming).
