High waves in the Geber Sea, Badung Strait, Bali, from tomorrow until October 1st

Badung Strait is a route for fishermen going to sea, a marine tourism area and a crossing route from mainland Bali to Nusa Penida Island, Klungkung Regency. Not only that, the Badung Strait is also crossed by cargo ships from the port of Benoa, Denpasar, to a number of destinations in eastern Indonesia.
Meanwhile, tourist areas bordering the Badung Strait include the waters of Nusa Dua which attract many domestic and foreign tourists to enjoy marine activities including swimming, snorkeling and other water sports. Besides that, the waters of Nusa Dua are also an algae growing area.
Meanwhile, wave heights in the Benoa Port area of Denpasar are also estimated to reach 2.5 metres. Not only in the Badung Strait, sea waves estimated to reach 2.5 meters may also occur in the southern part of the Bali Strait and the southern part of the Lombok Strait.
The Bali Strait is a route connecting the island of Bali via Gilimanuk Port in Jembrana Regency with Ketapang Port in Banyuwangi Regency, East Java. Meanwhile, Lombok Strait is a crossing route connecting Bali Island via Padangbai Port in Karangasem Regency to Selamat Port in Lombok, NTB.

The Lombok Strait is also the route used by merchant ships from Bali to eastern Indonesia. Meanwhile, the waters south of Bali are estimated to have sea wave heights of up to four metres. The average wind speed is estimated to be up to 15 knots or 27 kilometers per hour.
