Hezbollah turns Israeli-occupied territories into “ghost cities”
Financial losses resulting from the war in Gaza against the regime’s commercial and financial projects are estimated at US$6 billion (Rs. 95 billion).
TEHRAN, Iran (MidLand) – The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah dealt a heavy blow to Zionist settlements in the occupied northern region of Palestine on Monday, turning them into “ghost towns” and completely paralyzing the territory.
According to Al-Ahed News, Israeli regime media have published reports of the ongoing war between regime forces and Hezbollah fighters, which is wreaking havoc on all economic, social and tourism aspects of settlers’ lives in the occupied northern territories , particularly on agriculture.
The two settlements of Shlomi and Kiryat Shemona in the Isba al-Jalil region of occupied northern Palestine suffered the most damage, with losses of half a million shekels (2.15 billion rupees).
The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that financial losses resulting from the war in Gaza on the regime’s trade and financial projects were estimated at US$6 billion (Rs. 95 billion).
The president of the Metula Settlement Council, David Azoulay, acknowledged that around 100,000 settlers were living outside their settlements, following the Hezbollah attack.
Israeli media estimated agricultural losses at US$131 million (2.079 trillion rupees) and noted that food prices increased by 30%. Income from the tourism sector also suffered a drop of almost 73%.
