Hang Nadim Batam serves 31 extra flights for Eid return flows

Airlines serving additional flights are Citilink, Super Air Jet and Lion Air

Batam (MidLand) – Hang Nadim International Airport in Batam, Riau Islands is serving 31 extra flights for the Eid 2024 return flow with the peak estimated to occur on April 15, 2024.

“The peak flow back home is expected to be tomorrow (April 15) and will reach 11,000-12,000 passengers per day,” the chief director of PT Batam International Airport (BIB) Pikri Ilham Kurniansyah in Batam, Riau Islands, said on Sunday.

The 31 additional flights are dominated by the destinations Jakarta-Batam, Medan-Batam, Pekanbaru-Batam, Surabaya-Batam.

“Airlines serving additional flights are Citilink, Super Air Jet and Lion Air,” he said.

PT Batam International Airport (BIB) Operations Director Nugroho Jati said Batam’s Hang Nadim Airport remains on 24-hour standby to anticipate and serve in case of emergency landing, both domestic and international flights .

“The extra flights are all from morning to evening, so no one arrives at night. But if it’s for emergencies you have to standby “24 hours if a plane makes an emergency landing in Batam,” he said.

Apart from this, his party is also preparing to prepare all necessary necessities to accommodate the increase in passengers during the 2024 Eid homecoming at Hang Nadim Airport.

“We are preparing an integrated command post for this year’s Eid homecoming, involving 400 internal personnel from various related agencies, such as KKP, BMKG, PLN, security forces and Basarnas,” Nugroho said.
