HA IPB has formulated nine strategic programs for Golden Indonesia 2045

Jakarta (MidLand) – The Bogor Agricultural Institute Alumni Association (HA IPB) has formulated nine strategic programs that can be an accurate reference for the future direction of the nation’s development in order to realize a golden Indonesia 2045.

“It is said so because this is a contribution of thought from IPB experts who are not only competent in their scientific fields but also a form of their scientific responsibility for the future of the nation,” said the President General of the Central Directorate of HA BPH. Council, Walneg Jas, at a meeting with media editors in Jakarta, Monday.

The nine strategic programs formulated by IPB alumni cover the sectors of education, development planning, agriculture, industry, maritime affairs and fisheries, environment and forestry, trade, village development, as well as cooperatives and SMEs.

Walneg said that each of these programs was formulated based on the results of the assessment of the real problem nodes of the society and in-depth analysis of experts.

The strategic agenda formulation team assessed that these problematic issues include the maritime-continental paradigm which is not yet becoming the basis for national development or becoming the mainstream of development thinking. Even if this maritime vision is a constitutional mandate.

The utilization of marine resources and measured fishing policies based on Government Regulation Number 11 of 2023 for the Conservation of Fisheries Resources are still stagnant and even weaken competitiveness.

The team showed that the value of fisheries exports in 2022 will only reach US$6.24, or is still far from Indonesia’s maritime economic potential, which is worth US$1,334.

“Maritime sovereignty is just one example, there are still other issues, such as education and village development, which should be at the heart of this nation in the future,” he said.

According to him, all these formulations have been prepared in a detailed, connected and comprehensive way, starting from the problem, including solutions to overcome it, in an official document called the Agromaritime White Paper.

The White Paper on Agro-Maritime will be presented to the public in conjunction with the IPB Alumni Association grand meeting at the International Convention Center (ICC) Sentul, Bogor Regency on 25 November 2023.

On that occasion, the White Paper on agro-maritime was also scheduled to be delivered to the three Indonesian candidates for president and vice president who will compete in the 2024 elections.

“It is not important who becomes president next, the important thing is that this formulation can be implemented, because we believe that what is contained in it is a precise reference for realizing a Golden Indonesia 2045,” he said.
