Grab Ventures Velocity was held again to help startups
Bandung (MidLand) – Technology company Grab Indonesia is organizing another annual routine program Grab the speed of business (GVV) to help develop technology-based startups.
According to the company’s press release on Friday, registration for GVV Batch 7 for local startup activists is open from June 13 to July 4, 2024.
Country CEO Grab Indonesia Neneng Goenadi said GVV has been tasked with helping and guiding local start-up entrepreneurs in developing their businesses in a sustainable manner.
“Not just focusing on MSMEs and ESG, this year the GVV expands its coverage to a range of business models to maximize the benefits of technology across various sectors, so that more to boot local people who can contribute to the growth of the digital economy in Indonesia,” he said.
Batch 7 GVV implementation, carrying the theme Digital Ignition: Catalyzing Indonesian Startups for Sustainable Successbacked by venture capital firm Alpha JWC Ventures and Media Tech in Asia.
This startup accelerator program focuses on recruiting startups with business models Direct to consumer (D2C), especially in the retail and beauty sectors.
In addition to this, GVV is trying to attract start-ups operating in the fields of social commerce, sustainability (Environmental, social and governance/ESG), SME development and human resources management (Human resources information system/HRIS).

Startups selected as recipients of coaching in the GVV program will be announced in mid-July 2024. They will then receive coaching for 12-16 weeks.
The development of a startup includes training, tutoringand workshops with experts and professionals on branding, fundraising and strategy go to the market.
The selected startups can also explore business development potential using market access and increasing technological capacity through the Grab and OVO ecosystem networks.
Beyond that, they will have the opportunity to run a pilot program within the Grab ecosystem, directly reaching consumers, business partners and driver partners.
Startups selected to participate in the GVV program also have the opportunity to do so launch in an event Asia Technology Conference from 23 to 24 October 2024.
In this case, they can explain their business models and business solutions to investors, venture capital and other interested parties.
GVV has been implemented since 2018 in Southeast Asian countries. This accelerator program is recorded to have created 36 startups in Southeast Asia by 2023.
Indonesian startups that have taken advantage of the program include Haus!, iSeller, Mangkokku, Majoo and Qoala.
