Google Meet prepares useful AI features for note-taking – Okezone techno
JAKARTA – Google Meet is reportedly preparing an artificial intelligence (AI)-based feature that can automatically record meeting results. This is believed to help the work from home (WFH) trend that has re-emerged since the Covid-19 pandemic.
Quoted from pc magazine, Wednesday (8/30/2023), this feature is called Duet AI Google. With this feature, users just need to click the Duet button and then the important points of the meeting will be recorded.
Google Meet is currently still looking into whether this feature is worth featuring as a user assistant. The problem is that this feature can make attendees lazy to take notes or listen to the meeting until it’s over.
Google also teased a dynamic layout for Meet that will adjust based on the number of participants and screen size to make it easier to see everyone on the call.
As Google explains, Duet AI embeds “the power of generative AI into all Workspace apps.” Google has launched AI-powered versions of Search, Gmail, and Google Docs.
They are also reportedly enhancing Google Assistant with artificial intelligence and are testing a tool that uses artificial intelligence to write articles for journalists. Let’s wait and see if these features will actually be presented or not.
