Google introduces AI-powered NotebookLM with improved features

Jakarta (MidLand) – Google officially presented NotebookLM, a research and writing model based on artificial intelligence (artificial intelligence) with feature improvements and expanded use in numerous countries.

“Last summer we introduced NotebookLM, a powerful research and writing assistant artificial intelligence (TO THE). “We are excited to share that we are introducing an improved version of NotebookLM,” Google Labs editorial director Steven Johnson said in a monitored online press conference Thursday in Jakarta.

Steven explained that NotebookLM was previously known as Project Tailwind, a new type of notebook designed to help people learn faster.

Along with the development of this AI-powered product, NotebookLM is currently using Google’s most advanced software, namely Gemini 1.5 Pro.

According to him, NotebookLM helps someone create notebooks and upload documents for specific projects or deliverables.

Additionally, the template allows users to read, take notes, ask questions, or ask NotebookLM to automatically create an overview of all study sources, including the summary.

“NotebookLM has provided users with a powerful tool to create connections and generate insights from large collections of documents. Whether it’s used to build fictional worlds, write best-selling biographies, or help salespeople find new customers,” she said.

On the same occasion, Raiza Martin, Product Manager at Google Labs, said that this product aims to help users think better by providing personalized artificial intelligence, based on reliable information.

“Teams experimenting with generative AI enable users to co-create new AI applications,” he said.

Raiza said that NotebookLM’s general availability was initially intended for users in the United States and surrounding areas.

However, its availability currently extends to more than 180 countries including Australia, Canada, Japan, India and others.

Additionally, there are new integrations that support new sources, including Google Slides and Web URLs.

Then, Inline Citations displays the most relevant quotes from the original source, as well as generating study guides and summaries and suggesting questions based on the source.

Finally, multimodal capabilities allow users to ask questions about images, graphs, and diagrams slides or Documents.

“NotebookLM will also include citations to the images as supporting evidence, if relevant,” Raiza said.
