Good Friday, Jasa Marga recorded 298 thousand vehicles leaving Jabotabek
This figure is the cumulative traffic flow (traffic) figure from the four main toll plazas (GTs).
Jakarta (MidLand) – PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded that 298,370 vehicles left the Jabotabek area in D-1 until Good Friday, which falls in the Thursday-Friday period (March 28-29, 2024).
“This figure is the cumulative traffic flow (traffic) figure from the four major toll plazas (GTs), namely GT Cikupa (towards Merak), GT Ciawi (towards Puncak) and GT Cikampek Utama (towards Trans Java) and GT ” Kalihurip Utama (towards Bandung). The total traffic volume out of the Jabotabek area increased by 5.25% compared to normal traffic,” Lisye Octaviana, group manager for corporate communication and community development of Jasa Marga in Jakarta, said on Saturday.
For the distribution of traffic departing from Jabotabek towards three directions, i.e. with the majority of 129,706 vehicles (43.47%) heading east (Trans Java and Bandung), 97,131 vehicles (32.55%) heading west ( Merak) and 71,533 vehicles (23.97%) towards the south (Puncak).
Traffic left Jabotabek towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, with a total of 60,370 vehicles, an increase of 10.02% compared to normal traffic.
Meanwhile, traffic left Jabotabek towards Bandung via Kalihurip Utama GT on the Cipularang toll road, with a total of 69,366 vehicles, an increase of 7.40% compared to normal traffic.
The total traffic departing from Jabotabek to Trans Java and Bandung via the two GTs was 129,706 vehicles, an increase of 8.60% compared to normal traffic.
Traffic departing from Jabotabek to Merak via GT Cikupa on the Tangerang-Merak toll road was 97,131 vehicles, an increase of 3.10% compared to normal traffic.
Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Puncak via GT Ciawi on the Jagorawi toll road was 71,533 vehicles, an increase of 2.41% compared to normal traffic.
Jasa Marga urges road users to anticipate their journey before taking the toll road.
Make sure the vehicle and driver are in top condition, ensure there is sufficient fuel and e-money balance, and obey officials’ signs and directions.
