Jakarta (MidLand) –

The pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md, are determined to accelerate the development of a national digital system capable of reducing the risk of corruption and ensuring legal certainty.

“With the increasing implementation of digitalization (in the government), Ganjar-Mahfud believes that the budget can be saved up to IDR 1.2 trillion,” said Roby Muhamad, director of narrative and content at TPN Ganjar-Mahfud, in a statement received Tuesday in Jakarta. .

He said Ganjar-Mahfud is of the opinion that every citizen has the right to have strong, fast and affordable Internet access. This is to increase digital economic activity and increase digital human resources that are internationally competitive.

“Another important thing is the implementation of a national digital system to reduce the risk of corruption and ensure legal certainty,” he said.

According to Roby, Ganjar-Mahfud also ensures digital sovereignty by continuing to prioritize the protection of every citizen in the digital space, ensuring digital rights, protection against threats such as online gambling and the spread of disinformation.

Concrete efforts to achieve this mission by accelerating the implementation of a national digital system by accelerating the development of large digital infrastructure and reliable digital human resources (HR), including digital access for all people in every corner of the country (zero blank spaces) , provide strong, fast and affordable Internet connections.

So, increasing national digital human resources, strengthening a competitive digital ecosystem will make data safe, support digital business startups (start-ups), taxes for multinational digital platforms and the independence of digital industry .

“With the presence of an inclusive and easily accessible Internet, this will increase productivity in digital businesses. For example, there will be convenience in the digital economic sector, such as convenience for digital MSMEs (e-commerce), start-ups promoting economic actors and facilitate the creation of applications for the nation’s children,” Roby said.

Ganjar-Mahfud is of the opinion that the potential of the digital economy in Indonesia is large, amounting to approximately IDR 4,531 trillion. This potential has not been managed well. Ganjar-Mahfud therefore has a strong desire to rapidly develop Indonesia’s digital economy. Because it is impossible for Indonesia to rely only on state revenue obtained through conventional methods.

“Not least, in addition to the fair distribution of Internet access, people need not worry because Ganjar-Mahfud ensures that the protection of personal data continues to be a priority,” Roby said.
