From Bahlil to Andi Widjajanto present at PPKMB UNS 2023, followed by 10,291 freshmen

TIME.CO, Only – A number of figures from various agencies are expected to participate as resource persons in a series of activities for the Introduction to Campus Livelihood for New Students (PPKMB) 2023 Universitas Sebelas Maret (WE). The PPKMB at the UNS lasts three days from Monday 21 August to Wednesday 23 August 2023.

10,291 new students participated in this activity. Speakers attending this year’s UNS PKKMB include Investment Minister/Head of Investment Coordinating Council (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia, Institute of National Defense (Lemhannas) Governor Andi Widjajanto, Bank Deputy Governor Indonesia (BI) Doni Primanto Joewono, Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) Nizam, and President of Indonesian Real Estate (REI) Joko Suranto.

In his remarks, UN Chancellor Jamal Wiwoho welcomed the new students. According to him, the entry of these students is a golden opportunity for them to weave a future for the nation’s children.

“We are preparing these students to be national leaders. We recruited them from a total of more than 150,000 applicants, but only 10,291 new students entered. This shows that those entering are smart kids, they have above average ability,” Jamal said.

To support student preparations, Jamal said UNS had prepared human resources (HR), including 1,800 faculty members. He also emphasizes that new students are ready to take part in the educational process of UNS with the Tri Dharma of higher education, including an introduction to the environment.

“There is PPKMB for three days, today at the undergraduate level, the 22nd at the faculty level and the 23rd at the curriculum level,” he said.

UNS Acting Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs Ahmad Yunus added that PKKMB 2023 has an overarching goal so that students adapt more quickly to the campus environment and education system in higher education.

The specific goals of the PKKMB’s activities include being the first to instill awareness of the nation, the state, defending the country, caring for the environment and society. “Besides that, it also introduces the learning system and academic community life of the UNS by instilling the core values ​​of tridharma education and higher education,” said Ahmad.

Ahmad said that this activity was also to introduce tips for successful learning and personal development in tertiary institutions through the conception and practice of Merdeka Learning – Merdeka Campus (MBKM).

“On Monday, we will focus on activities at the university. The first class schedule at the UNS will start on August 28, 2023,” said Yunus.
