Electronic Arts isn’t the only game company to increase subscription rates. In June last year, Microsoft announced price increases for the console versions of Xbox Games Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Sony also announced a price increase for its PlayStation Plus annual subscription service in September last year.
The EA Play service first launched in 2014 for Xbox One before expanding to PS4 consoles in 2019 and PC in 2020. EA Play customers can access a wide selection of games, including those released by Electronic Arts.
Customers who are subscribed to PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate can access the catalog game EA Play at no additional cost.
