“There are four subdistricts that have been flooded since December 17, 2023 at 11pm WIB,” Rahmadinol said Time, Monday.
According to Rahmadinol, the flood was caused by heavy rainfall. As a result, numerous rivers in the 4 sub-districts overflowed their banks.
The submerged subdistricts were Pangkalan Koto Baru, Harau, Gunuang Omeh and Mungka. To date there have been no reports of casualties.
“There were no casualties, the depth of the flood was about 1 meter,” Rahmadinol said.
In addition to the flood disaster, there were several landslide spots in Limapuluh Kota regency, especially on the Tungka-Situmbuk Nagari Tungkar Road section, Situjuh Lima Nagari district and Nagari Ladang Laweh. Currently, the BPBD, Basarnas, fire brigade and related local government organizations have evacuated the affected communities.

“We are already on site to rescue the trapped people and clean up the landslide material,” Rahmadinol said.
Limapuluh Kota regent Safaruddin said water conditions had begun to worsen. However, rainfall is still high in Limapuluh Kota Regency. “He’s starting to retreat, tomorrow I want to go there,” he said
Safaruin said the BPBD evacuated residents trapped in the flood. “We have carried out evacuations and are currently collecting data on affected residents,” she said.
