DKI KPU evaluates the first debate to create a new color

Jakarta (MidLand) – The DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) is considering holding the first debate for the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada so that the next debate can create a new and better color.

Head of the Socialization, Voter Education and Community Participation Division of the Jakarta KPU, Astri Megatari, said that the first debate was not easy considering that it was the first event held in all provinces in the context of the election of governor and deputy. governor.

“This first debate is not easy. It is the first debate to be held in all provinces as part of the election of the governor and deputy governor,” Astri said.

Astri realized that in carrying out this debate there were still many spaces and shortcomings. However, the DKI Jakarta KPU will continue to evaluate and improve so that the next debate can have a different color from the one on Sunday evening.

The DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) held the first debate for the candidates for governor and deputy governor (Cagub-Cawagub) in the DKI Jakarta Pilkada 2024 at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Sunday evening .

The debate participants were the No. 1 candidate pair Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO), the No. 2 candidate pair Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana (Dharma-Kun) and the No. 3 candidate pair Pramono Anung-Rano Karno (Pram- Doel).

The topic raised in the inaugural debate was “Strengthening human resources and transforming Jakarta into a global city”.

It is expected that the vision, mission and work programs conveyed by each candidate for governor and deputy governor of DKI Jakarta Pilkada through this debate will provide considerations to voters on voting day on November 27, 2024.

The DKI Jakarta KPU has scheduled the second phase of the debate to take place on October 27, followed by the third debate on November 17, 2024.
