We expect many travelers will still choose to depart in the final days
Banjarbaru (MidLand) – A total of 11,333 travelers returning home passed through Syamsudin Noor Banjarmasin International Airport in Banjarbaru town, South Kalimantan, on the third day of Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijriah.
“There are 102 flights carrying travelers returning home this time,” Iwan Risdianto, stakeholder relations manager at Syamsudin Noor International Airport in Banjarbaru, said on Monday.
Iwan explained that 7,701 travelers left to return home, while 3,632 people arrived.
During this year’s Eid homecoming season, Syamsudin Noor International Airport recorded an average number of passengers per day of 10,736 people.

Meanwhile, there were a total of 53,679 travelers who returned home from April 3 until the 3rd day of Eid.
“We expect there will still be many travelers choosing to depart in the last days before Eid, so additional flights will be arranged if necessary,” he explained.
In celebration of this year’s Eid homecoming, Syamsudin Noor International Airport offers routes from Banjarmasin to Jakarta, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Bali, Makassar and Balikpapan.
To provide the best service to travelers returning home, Angkasa Pura I will hold an Eid Air Transport Post in Rabur Exhibition Hall of Arrival Terminal of Syamsudin Noor International Airport for 16 days starting from April 3 to 18, 2024.
