TIME.CO, Jakarta – The medical studies program at the Faculty of Medicine, recently opened by the Indonesian University of Education or UPI extension Bandung in the 2023/2024 academic year attracted 774 applicants. Following selection on August 18-20, the results will be announced tomorrow, Tuesday August 22, 2023.
“The graduation announcement can be seen through each registration account,” Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs Didi Sukyadi said on Monday, Aug. 21, 2023.
Selection results are determined on the basis of a combination of an academic potential test, a literacy test in Indonesian and English, and an ability test for Chemistry and Biology subjects. According to Didi, not all of the 774 candidates were present for the selection test.
“The exam went well and smoothly, no cheating was found,” he said.
Didi said the quota or student capacity of the undergraduate medical curriculum is 50 people. However, there is no ration for Smart Indonesia Cards or KIP for College because the quota has been exhausted for students who are on regular SNBP, SNBT and independent pathways.
Already last May, UPI had officially established the Faculty of Medicine. After the decree was issued by the leadership of the Indonesian Association of Independent Accreditation Institutions of Higher Health Education.

UPI Bandung Chancellor M. Solehuddin has set the tuition fee for new students through the independent selection route for the Medical Studies Program at the Faculty of Medicine for the 2023-2024 academic year at 203 million ID extension.
“The tuition fees are paid in full directly by the student concerned upon enrollment in the first semester”, stated through the Rectoral Decree obtained TimeFriday 11 August 2023.
In detail, the tuition fee is IDR 1.5 million, while the cost for organizing education is IDR 19 million. Hence, the cost for the development of facilities and academic quality is IDR 7.5 million. The largest cost is the institution building fund, which is set at IDR 175 million, for a total of IDR 203 million.
In the Decree of the Rector of UPI number 1381/UN40/KU.00.00/2023 concerning the costs of training of medical students, it is also stated that the tuition fee for the following semester only covers the costs of organizing learning.
