“Circle to search” can potentially be used to search for audio and music
Jakarta (MidLand) – The “Circle to Search” feature was first introduced via Galaxy AI with the presence of Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series in early 2024 and is finally now available exclusively on the latest Samsung and Google devices.
Powered by generative artificial intelligence, the “Circle to Search” feature allows users to search for information without having to move applications on the screen by circling the information they want to search for.
Currently this feature is limited to searching for text-based information, but the latest results show that “Circle to Search” is starting to be developed and has the potential to search for audio or musical information.

In Saturday’s (6/22) Gizmochina report, this information was first revealed by tech leaker AssembleDebug.
Discovered the “Circle to Search” option to search for audio-based information when unpacking an APK.
According to the report, the latest beta version of the Google app, which facilitates Circle to Search on Android devices, has a code string that refers to a new audio search button.
AssembleDebug has successfully enabled the UI for this new button, which looks like a musical note.
This option will appear next to the existing text translation options on the screen.
Of course, the button isn’t functional at the moment and Google hasn’t provided any official explanation about its purpose.
However, based on the installed icon in the form of musical notes, it is speculated that clicking the button allows “Circle to Search” to use your cell phone’s microphone to analyze surrounding sounds.
This feature can work to detect popular songs or audio clips, the feature will then provide the relevant information.
It is also possible that “Circle to Search” allows users to hum songs to identify themselves, as is done in Google’s application, namely YouTube.
If done correctly, this feature is useful and can help Samsung and Google cell phone users from having to add a bunch of new apps to search for songs and having to rely only on “Circle to Search.”
Hopefully we can find clarity on this feature through the next beta version of the Google application.
