Cipta Karya Menteng confirmed that the building in Imam Bonjol was in breach of regulations

The violation consists of an increase in building clearances and is not all-encompassing

Jakarta (MidLand) – The Menteng District Human Settlements Department (CKTRP) confirmed that the sealed building on Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng, Central Jakarta, had indeed committed a violation.

“The violation consisted of an increase in the building permit and was not complete,” said Menteng district CKTRP sub-department head Agung Wijanarto when confirmed in Jakarta on Saturday.

Agung said the breach resulted in the building being sealed because there had been modifications to the first-floor space so that it did not conform to shape.

“We cannot discuss the details yet. Our steps only serve to direct us to stop activities in the party that violates them. And this requires processing permissions,” Agung said.

Additionally, Agung said, if there is a change in the use of the building, the owner must apply for a permit to change the function. The request for authorization is made via the Building Construction Approval (PBG).

“The permit is under the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR). From there it will be forwarded to the DKI Jakarta provincial government via One Stop Integrated Services (PTSP),” Agung said.

Previously, Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma said he would respond quickly by deploying an integrated task force to check that buildings in Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng, Central Jakarta were sealed.

“We have formulated an integrated team to assist the Department of Human Settlements, Spatial Planning and Land Affairs (CKTRP sub-department) in carrying out building supervision functions,” said Dhany Sukma in Jakarta, Wednesday (6/12).
