China discounts on visa fees at all embassies

Beijing (MidLand) – The Chinese government provides a discount on visit visa fees of 25% compared to the normal price for foreign citizens wishing to enter the country.

“As a temporary measure, Chinese embassies and consulates will charge 75% of the previous visa fee from December 11, 2023 to December 31, 2024,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said at a regular news conference in Beijing on Friday, in China.

Wang Wenbin said that this policy was adopted because China wanted to facilitate the entry of foreign citizens.

“After China began designating Covid-19 as a class B infectious disease starting January 8, 2023, the government adjusted visa policies and entry rules for foreign citizens to facilitate cross-border travel.” , added Wang Wenbin.

However, for clearer provisions, Wang Wenbin said that foreign citizens who want to come to China can first consult the Chinese embassy and consulate in that country.

“This applies to all Chinese embassies and consulates abroad,” Wang Wenbin said.
