British King Charles returns to work after cancer treatment

MOSCOW (MidLand) – British King Charles III will soon return to his public duties after undergoing treatment and recovering from cancer, Buckingham Palace announced on Friday.

Buckingham said in early February that the British monarch had been diagnosed with cancer, the type and stage of which were not specified.

Because of this, King Charles III postponed his public duties while he underwent routine treatment.

“His Majesty the King will soon return to public duties following a period of treatment and recovery following his recent cancer diagnosis,” reads a statement from Buckingham Palace.

Charles will continue his duties on Tuesday with a visit to a cancer treatment center with his wife, Queen Camilla, where they will meet medical staff and patients.

The British king and queen also plan to host Japanese Emperor Naruhito and his wife, Empress Masako, on a state visit in June.
