BPJS Health will continue to provide JKN services during the 2024 Eid holidays
This principle of portability is achieved by providing guaranteed easy, fast and equitable healthcare services to JKN participants across Indonesia
Tarakan, Kaltara (MidLand) – The Social Security Administrative Agency (BPJS) for Health continues to provide National Health Insurance (JKN) services during the collective leave period and Eid holidays falling from 8th to 15th April 2024.
“BPJS Health is committed to making things easier for JKN participants by providing access to necessary healthcare services,” said Yusef Eka Darmawan, head of BPJS Health’s Tarakan branch in Tarakan, North Kalimantan, on Wednesday evening.
This commitment refers to the portability principle implemented by BPJS Health.
“The principle of portability is realized by providing guaranteed, easy, fast and equal healthcare services for JKN participants across Indonesia,” Yusef said.
Operators who are located outside the territory in which the First Level Healthcare Facility (FKTP) is registered can access outpatient services at other FKTPs for a maximum of three visits within a month.
BPJS Health also provides various service channels such as picket services at branches operating from 08:00 to 12:00 local time.
For those who access non-face-to-face services via Administrative Services via WhatsApp (PANDAWA), they can be served from 08:00 to 12:00 WIB.

Services provided to JKN participants include information services, administrative services and complaint services.
Apart from this, JKN participants can also enjoy JKN administrative services via the JKN mobile application.
Besides that, in order to provide health services to travelers during the Eid holidays, BPJS Health has prepared a Homecoming Post from April 5 to 9, 2024.
The locations of Homecoming Health Posts are spread across several strategic points such as Pulo Gebang Terminal in East Jakarta, Merak Port in Banten, Cikampek KM 88A Toll Service Area in Purwakarta, Palikanci KM Toll Service Area 207A in Cirebon, the Ungaran KM 429A toll service area in Semarang regency, Purabaya terminal in Sidoarjo and Soekarno-Hatta port in Makassar city.
The post provides various services such as health consultations, relaxation facilities for travellers, health checks, supply of medicines, simple emergency measures and provision of referrals if necessary.
“It is hoped that people will experience ease and comfort in accessing healthcare services during the Eid holiday period,” Yusef said.
For JKN participants in the non-salaried worker (PBPU) segment or known as independent participants, they are advised to make regular monthly contribution payments by the 10th so that their member status remains active.
BPJS Health has also partnered with over 960,000 payment channels to make it easier for JKN participants to pay dues.
Yusef explained that BPJS Health has implemented the JKN service promise in healthcare facilities, in collaboration with BPJS Health in the context of service quality transformation.
With the promise of JKN services, JKN participants can experience various conveniences in accessing JKN services. To access services at health facilities, for example, it is sufficient to show the Population Identification Number (NIK) on the Resident Identity Card (KTP), and a photocopy of the file is not necessary.
“BPJS Health also emphasizes that there are no additional costs for JKN participants when accessing services at health facilities, as long as they receive care according to procedures and are served equitably without discrimination,” Yusef explained.
JKN participants can contact BPJS Health Care Center 165 directly to seek information on the closest facilities for those returning home.
He also added that JKN participants can also access the JKN mobile application to find out the location of the nearest healthcare facility.
“Now there is the JKN i-Care functionality developed by BPJS Health. Through this innovation, it makes it easier for doctors in healthcare facilities to access the medical history of JKN participants over the last 12 months, in order to provide faster and more accurate information. JKN participants can access it via “JKN Mobile Application,” Yusef said.
Yusef appealed to those returning home to always maintain their health with nutritious and balanced foods, reduce sugar-rich foods, increase water intake, get enough rest and try to keep up with light physical exercise.
“Don’t forget to always ensure that all our JKN members are active, so that when we want to access services in health facilities there are no problems,” he said.
