BPJS Health aims to transform service quality
Manado (MidLand) – The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Health Social Security Administrative Agency (BPJS), Abdul Kadir, said that in addition to achieving “Universal Health Coverage” or UHC, the next objective is the transformation of the quality of service.
“Our goal now is to transform the quality of service so that we pay attention to the quality of service, people are served more quickly, without discrimination, easily and fairly,” Abdul Kadir said after a dialogue with Commission IX DPR-RI and related agencies in Manado, North Sulawesi, on Friday.
Due to the transformation of the quality of service, he said, it is no longer possible for patients to pay fees or take medicines other than JKN medicines.
Abdul Kadir said that to achieve this transformation in service quality, he hopes the hospital will strive to provide easy, fast and equitable services to all patients.
The next thing is that there is no discrimination between JKN patients and general patients, everyone receives services at the same time and place.
Another thing, he said, is that hospitals that partner with BPJS Health are committed to implementing their signed service promises.
“So hospitals are obligated to put up some sort of poster or pamphlet or whatever you want to call it that conveys the promise of this service to the public,” he said.
The promise of the service is that the administrative process of the service is not complicated, there is no cost, medicines are available, doctors arrive on time and there is no discrimination.
“The public can raise objections if the promise of service is not fulfilled. Well, we have staff stationed, they receive complaints and at the same time provide solutions,” he said.
The Chairman of the BPJS Health Council in North Sulawesi, in addition to accompanying the working visit of Commission IX of the DPR-RI, also carried out direct inspections at two hospitals, Prof Kandouw Hospital and Siloam Hospital, regarding the implementation of services to JKN patients.
“So there are interviews, we see how prepared they are to provide services, including how committed the hospital is to implementing what’s called a service promise,” he said.
