BNN and a joint team raided drug trafficking locations in Palu City
Palù (MidLand) –
“The target of the operation (TO) is Kayumalue village, North Palu district and the area of Tatanga district, suspected to be a place of distribution of narcotics,” said the acting head of the province of Central Sulawesi BNN Masnawati Rahman after carrying out the raid, in Palù, on Thursday.
“Of the 18 people arrested, they are suspected of having the status of drug dealers and users, one of whom is a woman. They will later be interrogated and the legal process will be decided,” he said.
He said during the raid the joint team collected evidence totaling 28 packages of methamphetamine-type drugs along with scales, a number of methamphetamine suction devices and other evidence.
In this operation, he said, officers not only arrested dozens of people, but also demolished semi-permanent buildings suspected of being sites of methamphetamine trading or use.
He stressed that his party will take massive action against crimes related to drug trafficking to create a favorable situation for the circulation of these goods.
“This is our commitment to eradicate narcotics distribution in the jurisdiction of Central Sulawesi,” he said.
