BMKG weather forecast: Tropical cyclone Sanba triggers heavy rain and lightning in Sumatra
TIME.CO, Jakarta – Council of Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) monitor movement Tropical cyclone Sanba in Beubu Gulf. This cyclone with a maximum wind speed of 40 knots and a minimum air pressure of 1,000 mb is moving north-northeast.

BMKG has issued an early warning about high waves that could potentially occur in several Indonesian waters on 20 and 21 October 2023.
Winds in northern Indonesia generally move from northeast-southeast with wind speeds between 4 and 20 knots. In southern Indonesia, however, it generally moves from east to south-east at a speed of 6-25 knots. The highest wind speeds were observed in the southern Sunda Strait, waters south of Banten, southern Makassar Strait, Arafuru Sea, waters south of Merauke.
