According to him, other convergence areas were observed extending from Riau to South Sumatra, from the Java Sea to East Kalimantan, from the Makassar Strait to North Kalimantan, from the Makassar Strait to Central and Southeast Sulawesi, from the Molucca Sea to Seram Sea, Cenderawasih Bay and Arafura Sea to Papua New Guinea, as well as the confluence area extending from Central Sulawesi to Papua.

“This condition has the potential to increase the potential for rain cloud formation around the cyclonic circulation and along areas of convergence or confluence.
