BMKG: Moderate to heavy rain in most of Indonesia on Thursday

Jakarta (MidLand) – The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said that most areas of Indonesia are at risk of moderate to heavy rain on Thursday, such as Bangka Belitung, Gorontalo, East Java, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan.

The same warning was also given to North Kalimantan, Maluku, Papua, Riau, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, West Sumatra, South Sumatra,

Aceh, Lampung, North Sumatra and North Maluku are expected to experience heavy rains, while East Nusa Tenggara and Bali are forecast to experience strong winds.

The areas that received rain and lightning were Jambi, West Java and West Kalimantan.

Light to moderate rain is expected in most cities during the day, with thunderstorms in Banjarmasin and Palembang. At night and early in the morning, it is expected to be cloudy or partly cloudy in most Indonesian cities.

For Jakarta, the weather is expected to be cloudy or sunny all day in its cities, except South Jakarta where rain is expected in the afternoon.
