BIS has won 6 SBN awards from the Ministry of Finance

Jakarta (MidLand) – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) managed to win 6 prizes during the event Investors’ meeting held by the General Directorate of Financing and Risk Management (DJPPR) of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkeu) 2023 in Jakarta, Thursday (14/12) for its consistency in the sale of government bonds (SBN). BIS is still the best since 2017 or for 7 consecutive years.

The 6 awards won by BRI include:

1) Best Main Dealer of Sharia Government Bonds (SBSN) in 2022

2) Best Government Debt (SUN) Main Dealer in 2022

3) Best Government Debt (SUN) Main Dealer in the primary market in 2022

4) Best Main Dealer of Sharia Government Bonds (SBSN) in 2022

5) Best Government Debt (SUN) Main Dealer in 2023

6) Best Government Debt (SUN) Main Dealer in the primary market in 2023

The award was presented directly to the SEVP by the Director General of Financing and Risk Management, Suminto Global treasury and services BRI Achmad Royadi. Royadi also said this demonstrates the BIS’s consistency in continuing to play an active role in the government’s APBN adaptive financing strategy through the sale of SBNs.

“This award cannot be separated from the support of customers who entrust their SBN transactions to the BIS. With this award, the BIS is committed to always providing the best banking services and solutions in line with the future vision of the BIS Southeast Asia’s most valuable banking group and champion of financial inclusion in 2025,” Royadi said.

For your information, the total SBN sales recorded by BIS reached IDR 10.9 trillion during 2023. One of them was through the latest sale, namely ST011 to BIS, which reached IDR 1.35 trillion of IDR until the end of the offer period.

The BIS expects that SBN will continue to attract investor interest next year, because in addition to being guaranteed by the government with coupons or premiums higher than bank deposits, they can be purchased for as little as IDR 1 million.

On the other hand, BIS facilitates easy access to purchasing SBNs through the e-SBN facility on Superapp BRImo. It is therefore hoped that more and more investors will be interested in purchasing this government bond product.
