ASUS ROG Ally 2 will launch this year
MidLand, Jakarta – ASUS launched the ROG Ally gaming console which debuted on the global market in May last year. The handheld gaming console segment is increasingly competitive with Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Go, Nintendo Switch and MSI Claw recently announced. Now, on the sidelines of the launch of the ZenBook 14 OLED in India, ASUS vice president Arnold Su has confirmed important details regarding the successor to the Samsung ROG Ally 2 in an interview.

In an interview with TechnologicalArnold Su revealed that ASUS intends to present a successor to ROG Ally, viz ROG Ally 2 this year. “The company will continue to maintain Windows features and focus more on gaming,” Su said in the interview.
Su also said that ASUS has sold 70,000 to 80,000 ROG Ally units in less than a year since its launch. Buyers in India are largely early adopters of gaming consoles compared to developed markets which have high PC penetration rates.

This ASUS official also shared other information about gaming laptops that are attracting more and more attention. It has surpassed the gaming desktop segment in India and globally. Hardcore gamers still prefer desktops, which is different from casual gamers. ASUS is also expanding its manufacturing capabilities in India. The company will start manufacturing gaming PCs in India starting this year.
ASUS ROG Ally it has a 7-inch FHD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 500 nits peak brightness. It is powered by an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor paired with integrated Radeon Navi3 graphics. The console comes with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of storage. This device is powered by a 40Wh battery with 65W fast charging support.
