Arsenal continued their winning trend after beating Southampton 3-1

Jakarta (MidLand) – Arsenal continue their winning trend after beating Southampton 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium in London on Saturday.

Arsenal’s three goals were scored by Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, while Southampton’s only goal was scored by Cameron Archer, according to the Premier League.

This is Arsenal’s third consecutive win after beating PSG in the Champions League and Leicester City in the Premier League last week.

This win means Arsenal maintain third place in the Premier League table with 17 points from seven games, while Southampton are stuck in 19th place with one point.

Arsenal dominated this match with 60% ball possession and 29 scoring chances, six of which were on target.

Arsenal immediately attacked, taking the initiative to attack Southampton.

Mikel Arteta’s side tried to dismantle Southampton’s defence, but no goals were scored until half-time.

In the second half, Arsenal continued to dominate the match by kicking several shots into Southampton’s goal.

Ironically, Southampton surprisingly took the lead in the 55th minute after Mateus Fernandes’ pass was converted into a goal by Cameron Archer.

Three minutes later Arsenal responded by drawing 1–1 with a goal scored by Kai Havertz after receiving a pass from Bukayo Saka.

Arsenal went 2-1 up after scoring their second goal on a shot by Gabriel Martinelli, again off a pass from Saka in the 68th minute.

After playing an assist, Saka also put his name on the scoreboard by netting Arsenal’s third goal in the 88th minute.

In the rest of the match Arsenal did not relax their attacks, threatening Southampton’s goal several times, but until the final whistle the score remained 3-1.
