Arsenal are back in first place after beating Wolves 2-0

Jakarta (MidLand) – Arsenal returned to top spot in the Premier League table after beating Wolves 2-0 in matchweek 34 at Molineux Stadium, Wolverhampton, Sunday morning WIB.

In this match, Arsenal’s victory came thanks to goals scored by Leandro Trossard and Martin Odegaard, according to Premier League records.

Arsenal are now top of the Premier League table with 74 points from 33 games, while Wolves are in 11th place with 43 points.

Statistically, Arsenal dominated over Wolves recording 54% ball possession and releasing a total of 24 kicks towards Jose Sa’s goal.

The Gunners took the initiative to attack first in this match and had a chance thanks to Declan Rice’s shot which was still wide of the Wolves goal.

Next it was Wolves’ turn to pose a threat with Joao Gomes’ hard kick, but the ball was cleared by Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya.

Towards the end of the first half, Arsenal managed to take the lead with a kick from Leandro Trossard, so that in the 45th minute the score was 1-0. The scoring lasted until halftime.

At the start of the second half, Arsenal continued to attack Wolves’ defense line, but the solidity of the defenders and the brilliance of Jose Sa ended these efforts.

Mikel Arteta’s team had many golden opportunities in second-half injury time thanks to Rice’s kicks to Gabriel Martinelli, but they never materialised.
